About this work
Minerva orders Cadmus to sow the teeth of the dragon he has just killed. On the left, Cadmus pulls the teeth of the dragon from its mouth. After he has sown them, armed men emerge from the ground. They fight each other until five men remain who will help Cadmus found Thebes. Below the representation, two times two lines of verse in Latin. The print is part of an album.
