About this work
Perseus floats hanging from the winged horse Pegasus through the air. He holds the severed head of Medusa above the sea monster to which Andromeda was sacrificed. On the left in the foreground, a flying seagull. In this second state of the print, a hilly landscape with a castle and two settlements has been added to the print.
