About this work

Perseus floating on the winged horse Pegasus through the air. He holds the severed head of Medusa above the sea monster to which Andromeda is sacrificed. In the left foreground a flying gull. In the background a hilly landscape with a castle and two settlements. In this third state of the print the face of Perseus has been added.
