About this work

The white raven Corvus reproaches Coronis, lover of Apollo, for infidelity. When he wants to report this to the god, he is warned of his plan by the crow Cornix. In the background on the right a coastal landscape. Below the image, two times two lines of verse in Latin. The print is part of an album.
