About this work
In a circular courtroom, Alexander the Great sits as judge on his throne. By plugging his left ear with his left hand, he hears nothing but the testimony of the person on his right. The other ear remains open and unbiased for the opposing party when they speak. Below the image, two four-line verses in Latin. The print is part of an album.
