About this work

Alexander the Great, on the right, is attacked by the brothers Rhoesaces and Spithridates, two generals of the Persian army. The soldier with the sword raised above his head is likely Spithridates, who would cleave Alexander's helmet. Numbered 18 in the upper right. Drawing forms part of an album.
