About this work
Jacob places peeled branches in the drinking troughs of the sheep to ensure that the white sheep give birth to spotted young. With this, he deceives Laban, who had agreed with him that he would receive all spotted animals as wages (Gen. 30:37). With a Latin motto above the image and a four-line Latin inscription below the print. The print is part of an album.
