About this work
In an inn interior, a man jumps up from a stool and waves a drawn knife threateningly. His opponent recoils in fright and holds his hat in front of his chest in defense. A seated man tries to calm the angry man, and a woman puts an arm protectively around the child on her lap. The cause of this fight is a card game lying on top of a barrel which is knocked over by the commotion. The print is part of a portfolio and is printed with another print on one album leaf.
