Bonfires and fireworks on the Grote Markt in front of the Town Hall. On the square the assembled public, a carriage and burning tar barrels. Part of the description of the entry of Archduke Ernest into Antwerp, 18 July 1594, by Joannes Bochius, Descriptio publicae gratulationis, spectaculorum et ludorum, in adventu Sereniss. Principis Ernesti Archiducis Austriae, Ex Officina Plantiniana, Antwerp 1595.
