Title print with the crowned coat of arms of Maria de' Medici, held by Fame and Minerva, here possibly intended as patroness of the arts. Both women also hold a banner with part of the title. Under an altar with the monogram AM (Alma Mater). On the altar lie three crowns. They symbolize the three children of Maria de' Medici who were on the throne in 1639: Louis was King of France, Elisabeth was Queen of Spain, and Henrietta Maria was married to Charles I of England. Two young women with a stick and mirror hold a laurel wreath above the crowns. The print is part of a book about the reception of the French Queen Mother Maria de' Medici in England.
