Charles I of England, his wife Henrietta Maria, their children and Maria de' Medici in a room in St James' Palace. Around them in an arch stand distinguished gentlemen. The walls of the room are decorated with fleur-de-lys. On the left hangs a bust of a man. The print forms part of a book about the reception of the French Queen Mother Maria de' Medici in England.
