About this work

Charles V abdicates the throne, 25 October 1555. In the throne room, Philip II takes his seat on the throne and Charles V leaves the room. The seals of Charles V are broken and replaced by those of Philip II. In the presence of the full assembly of the States-General. The walls decorated with tapestries depicting hunting scenes. With an inscription of 12 lines in German.
