About this work

Charles V abdicates the throne, 25 October 1555. In the throne room, Philip II takes his seat on the throne and Charles V leaves the room. The seals of Charles V are broken and replaced by those of Philip II. In the presence of the full assembly of the States General. The walls decorated with tapestries depicting hunting scenes. With an inscription of 12 lines in German. Numbered 11 in the lower left. The print is part of an album.
