About this work

Charles V abdicates the throne, 25 October 1555. In the throne room, Philip kneels before his father. On the left, Granvelle; on the right, Margaret of Parma and knights of the Order of the Golden Fleece. Before the full assembly of the States-General, standing before wooden benches with cushions. The walls decorated with tapestries. With an inscription of 12 lines in German and 5 lines in French. Numbered 10 in the lower left. The print is part of an album.
