About this work
Charles V abdicates the throne, 25 October 1555. In the throne room, Philip kneels before his father. To the left, Granvelle; to the right, Margaret of Parma and knights of the Order of the Golden Fleece. In the presence of the full assembly of the States-General standing before wooden benches with cushions. The walls decorated with tapestries. With an inscription of 12 lines in German and 5 lines in French.
