Four women's hairstyles with four different hats, in frames. The accompanying text states: Fig. 1: Woman in a Robe à la Turque of taffeta, trimmed with a black silk ribbon. She is in light mourning. On the head a black straw hat with a crown of black gauze (ajustée à pointes de diamans). Around the crown a red ribbon and upright red rooster feathers. At the back edge a voile of gauze, falling down the back. Fichu of linen, a pink bow in the center. Hairstyle 'à la Conseillère'. Fig. 2: Robe à la Turque of lemon-colored silk. The bodice is of white heavy silk (gros-de-tours). Fichu with strips, closed at the front with a bow. Cuffs of gauze-linon. On the head a 'Pouf' of gauze 'according to the latest fashion'. Around the crown of the hat a garland of artificial roses. On the right side two large bows, on the left two feathers. A long voile of lilac crêpe is attached to the back of the hat.
