Berlin woman, dressed in mourning attire for second-degree mourning (which lasts six months). She wears a black Levite with sleeves and a fichu of white crêpe. Around the waist a broad sash of white crêpe. On the head a "Fortune" of black fabric. Long black gloves. A dark, closed fan in hand. Print from the fashion magazine Journal des Luxus und der Moden, published by Friedrich Justin Bertuch and Georg Melchior Kraus, Weimar, 1786-1826.
