About this work
Four different hairstyles and bonnets, seen from the front and back. According to the accompanying text (pp. 157, 158, and 159): Chapeau de marcelline and tulle: the same tulle used for the bodice and sleeves. Belt in the shape of a marcelline ribbon. (Long gloves) Fig. 2: Coëffure (seen from the front and back) with an explanation of the construction; Fig. 3: Capotes de taffetas, Fig. 4: Chapeaux de satin et taffetas. The print is part of the fashion magazine Journal des Dames et des Modes, published in Frankfurt as a copy of the French edition by Pierre de la Mésangère (1798-1848).
