About this work

Album with 16 prints on 14 album leaves. The album contains etchings by Alexandre Bettou after frescoes in the Château de Fontainebleau, made by Francesco Primaticcio. The title print consists of two separate prints on two leaves that can be joined together. In the rest of the album, there are also prints that, like the frescoes they are based on, could run into each other. The subjects mainly contain classical figures such as Apollo and Venus. Cardboard binding with decorative paper and spine covered in leather, with a guard leaf at the back.
