A soldier, full-length, facing right, placing a musket (a specific type of firearm) on his left shoulder with his right hand, the barrel pointing diagonally upwards. In his left hand he holds a lit match and a fork (musket fork) (no. 33), ca. 1600. Plate 33 in the instructions for handling the musket: Shorte instruction for the figures, so much concerneth the right use of muskett.
