About this work
Arch of Triumph in honor of women, December 1599. Triumphal arch of the city of Antwerp with Fortuna and trumpeters on a balustrade at the top. Further decorated with representations of famous women from history. On both sides poles with burning tar barrels. Erected during the entry into Antwerp in the Lange Nieuwstraat near the Borzestraat. Part of: Historica narratio profectionis et inaugurationis serenissimorum Belgii principum Alberti et Isabellae Austriae archiducum, the description of the entries of the couple in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Valenciennes, 1599.
