The Spanish Arch of Triumph (front side), December 1599. Triumphal arch decorated with a representation of King Philip II between his children. Musicians at the top, on the left and right poles with burning tar barrels. Erected during the entry into Antwerp in the Lange Gasthuisstraat and the Arembergstraat. Part of: Historica narratio profectionis et inaugurationis serenissimorum Belgii principum Alberti et Isabellae Austriae archiducum, the description of the entries of the couple in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and Valenciennes, 1599.
