About this work
A wind trader with a windmill on his head sits on a sack of shares held aloft only by the wind, 1720. In the tree on the left, a monkey with a telescope; on the right, a cat with balloons tied to its paws flies through the air. The caption contains verses in Dutch and French. Print in the bound first edition (304 B 10) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trading of 1720.
