About this work

The incurable disease, 1673. Copy no. I after the French caricature on the conquest of cities in the Republic by the French army in 1672. A ragged Dutchman sits on a ship's hull and vomits a stream with the names of the lost cities. Warlords and women look on. With the original captions in 2 columns in Dutch and French.
