Rise and Fall of the Shareholders. Sheet with various representations of the unrest caused by the Wind Trade of 1720. Center bottom: Quinquempoix: a crowd of victims of the wind trade gathered on the Dam near the Kalverstraat; above it: The Tuileries Palace: panic in the Parisian Tuileries. Top: a portrait of John Law holding a note with Mississippi, with a monkey and a wolf biting a sheep. Top left: merchant shipping; top right: excavation work for the Utrecht canal. The caption contains a seven-column verse. Print in the bound first edition (304 B 10) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trading of 1720.
