Plan of the citadel of Lille, besieged from 22 August and taken by the Allies on 23 October 1708. In the upper right the legends A-R in Dutch and French, at the bottom a cross-section of the bastions and moats. Numbered in the lower right: Tom. II. No. 39. Illustration in the second part of: [Jean] du Mont, Military description of the battles and sieges of the three ... famous generals... Prince Eugene of Savoy, the ... Duke of Marlborough, and the Prince of Orange and Nassau-Vriesland, in the edition of 1729. This second part is mainly devoted to the deeds of the Duke of Marlborough and Prince John William Friso.
