About this work

Siege and capture of the small fortress of Susa in Piedmont by the Allied troops on behalf of King Charles III, 3 October 1707. The central depiction of the siege in a richly decorated ornamental frame with a cartouche at the top containing a map of the fortress. At the bottom a cartouche with the description of the events in German, on the left and right weapons with the monogram CR of Carolus Rex. Sheet in the bound collection of plates published under the title: Repraesentatio belli ... Der Spanische Successions-Krieg [ca. 1720].
