Plan of the citadel of Lille (Rijssel), besieged from October 22 by the Allies under Prince Eugene of Savoy and captured on December 8. Bottom: cross-section of the walls and moats around the castle. Left: large cartouche with title and legend A-R in French, featuring Fame and angels with the coat of arms of the Prince of Savoy. Part of a bound collection of plans of battles and cities famous in the War of the Spanish Succession.
