About this work
Map of the island Gekskop (Madman's Head) in the shape of a fool's head. On the left, a riotous crowd in front of the Quincampoix coffee house in Amsterdam; on the right, a sail-wagon with a flag: "na Viane". A two-column caption on the sheet below the image, printed separately. Print in the bound fourth edition (304 B 12) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Windhandel or Actiehandel of 1720.
