About this work

A couple with a child, the man and woman designated as the King and Queen of the Mississippi, standing in a landscape. In the background, cannibalism, roasting human limbs on a fire. Used as a reference to the Mississippi Company. Print in the bound fourth edition (304 B 12) of Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Windhandel or Actiehandel of 1720.
