About this work
The disastrous consequences of share trading. Various men commit suicide after losing everything in share trading; others have gone mad or committed robbery. In the foreground, the weeping Heraclitus; in the background, the carriage of the rich man travelling on the broad road. In the inscription, the explanation of the numbers 1–9. Print cut out and pasted in. Belongs to the group of supplementary prints bound in the first edition (304 B 11) of Het Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Windhandel or Actiehandel of 1720.
