About this work

The Bavarian Little Man Amazoonse Struik-rooveres, holding a hatchet in one hand and a basket of eggs in the other, making an obscene gesture with the other hand. Verses in German, French, and Dutch in the caption. Numbered right center: 42. Print within a decorative border printed from a separate plate with little people. Part of Part II in the second Dutch bound edition of 1720 (related to the Windhandel of that year) of a series of caricatures of little people, known as Het Dwergentooneel, partly copied from an older German model.
