About this work
Two little people for the month of February (Sprokkelmaand). Masked couple at a carnival party. Verses in German, French and Dutch in the caption. Print within a decorative border printed from a separate plate with heads of Chinese little people and masks. Part of volume III (a series of the twelve months) in the second Dutch bound edition of 1720 (and related to the Windhandel of that year) of a series of caricatures of little people, known as Het Dwergentooneel, partly copied from an older German model.
