A little man with a hat reading a roll of paper. In the caption, a verse in Dutch. Numbered right center: 8. Print within a decorative border, printed from a separate plate with satyrs, at the bottom an eagle. Part of the second Dutch bound edition of 1720 (and related to the Windhandel in that year) of a series of caricatures of little people, known as Het Dwergentooneel, partly copied from an older German model.
