About this work

Allegorical illustration in which wine and beer are available without excise. A monk taps from a wooden vat, on the left two men sit by the fireplace. Illustration on p. 15 in the comedy The Sorrowful Tenant by Jan Weetal about the Tenant Riots in 1748.
