About this work
Mirror of Reason for the Desperate Shareholder. A wind trader about to stab himself in the chest is shown a mirror by the personification of Reason. In the background, Prudence holds back the wind trade with a shield marked Y (= the IJ in Amsterdam). On the sheet around the image are three parts of text. Print in the bound fourth edition (304 B 12) of *Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid* with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trade of 1720.
