About this work
Satirical print on a general departing with a hot air balloon. On a staircase, soldiers sit with their bare bottoms exposed; the fumes from their excrement form the hot air on which the balloon floats. To the front right, the Brabant Lion looks on. Numbered bottom left: 30. Part of the bundled collection of prints relating to the events of the Brabant Revolution and the period 1787-1790.
