About this work
Satirical print on a general departing with a hot air balloon. On a staircase, soldiers sit with bare buttocks; the fumes of their excrement form the hot air on which the balloon floats. To the front right, the Brabant lion looks on. Part of a large group of prints relating to the events of the Brabant Revolution and the period 1787-1790.
