About this work

The People's Government Established, allegorical decoration erected on the Amstelveld in Amsterdam at the Alliance Festival on 19 June 1795. Pillar crowned with a liberty cap and the flags of the Netherlands and France. Chassis in which the Dutch Maiden welcomes seven children representing the seven provinces. Illustration in the Batavian Revolution and Alliance Almanac for 1796.
