About this work
Man and woman in costume from the Zeeland island of Schouwen. The woman brings a basket of butter to the market, the man a basket of eggs. Fourth installment of four plates, published in 1805. Part of a bound edition of the series of twenty plates of Dutch costumes in the Batavian Republic at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Maaskamp, ca. 1807.
