About this work
An Amsterdam fishmonger sitting beside her baskets of fish. She accosts a gentleman in a blue coat to buy something from her. First installment of four plates, published in 1803. Part of a bound edition of the series of twenty plates of Dutch costumes in the Batavian Republic at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Maaskamp, ca. 1807.
