Knitting needle case in memory of the Battle of the Dogger Bank

The round, tapering scabbard has a profiled upper edge and a closed upper side with a small round opening for the knitting needle. It is entirely decorated in repoussé technique with two identical medallions crowned by a bow, featuring the bust of Lieutenant-Admiral Arnold Zoutman, with the name Zoutman above. Below each medallion is a trophy of an anchor, an arrow, and a halberd, above a crossed anchor and flag on a rough ground. Below this hangs a garland with a medallion of the Dutch lion holding a sword and seven arrows, front and back. Below this is a border of C-volutes, closed at the bottom by a smooth band. Below this, the entire decoration is repeated. At one-third of the height, an eye with a ring is attached.
