About this work
Chimney breast of oak wood, locally gilded. The corners are hollowed; decorated from top, bottom and in the center with punched ornament with shell motifs, strapwork and bells. The mirror has on the sides and the top a profiled gilded frame, which is scalloped at the top and carries punched leaf motifs. Above the mirror a field with cartouche and punched female mask, above which shell motif, flanked by floral festoons, attached to the scalloped corners of the field.
