About this work

Tabouret with a rectangular seat, on turned olive wood legs, the legs are crossed in pairs and connected at the bottom by two turned cross-legs, and above by two smooth cross-rails. Between the upper rails the seat is stretched, consisting of a linen underlayer, upon which wool fluff, covered by a complex weave of silk and metal thread with a geometric pattern in yellow and black. The fabric is edged all around with passementerie with fringe of the same yellow and black silk and gilded silver thread.
