About this work
Children's jacket of chintz, painted with a floral scrolling pattern on a blue ground with circles, lined with white linen. The jacket has a wide bodice in one piece, open at the back, ending in a point at the front, with two large sleeves set far back with slits, and a neck trimmed with a strip of chintz.
