About this work

Conical foot with a turned-over rim. Baluster-shaped stem with three knobs and air bubbles. Funnel-shaped bowl with a rounded base. On the bowl, a three-master on a matted ground, flanked by leafy branches. On the reverse side, the monogram of the Dutch East India Company (VOC), below the inscription: HET WEL VAREN VAN DE OOSTYNDYESE KOMPANIE. The glass is inlaid with a lid.
