Inkstand

Inkstand standing on a rectangular sheet, with raised edge and four profiled ball feet. On the sheet two circular rims are attached, in which a sandshaker and an inkpot stand. The inkpot has a double wall, five holes in the upper rim, and a domed hinged lid with a knob. The pen holder is attached to the sheet. The inkpot, sandshaker, and pen holder are engraved with zig-zag lines. The inkstand is marked: maker = Wessel Jansen, an axe, and a stork (The Hague import mark).
