About this work

Tea table, decorated with marquetry of satinwood, rosewood, and violetwood and mahogany on an oak core. Oval top, raised openwork edge and square tapering legs on brass cap feet. The marquetry decoration on the legs and the pedestals above them consists of geometric patterns, and on the rails, on contrasting fields, of turned flower calyxes with a rosette in the center. On the top is a border with diamonds, in which rosettes are inlaid.
