About this work
Armchair, upholstered in velvet, of rosewood. The volute-shaped front legs and the back legs with house and bottle-shaped joints are connected by an X-shaped cross, consisting of rungs decorated with acanthus leaves, ending in volutes, above which a knob. The C-shaped armrests end in volutes and are, like the front legs, the back panel, the volute-shaped armrest supports, decorated with acanthus leaves. The back posts are jointed like columns. The middle rail of the back shows a band of scrolling.
