About this work
Upholstered chair, part of the Kops furniture set, of white and blue-grey painted beechwood resting on conical legs. The seat rails and aprons of the back frame, with Tuscan cannelured columns as back posts, show carved braided band with rosettes. Finished with rosettes and acanthus leaves. The upholstery shows floral motifs on a light blue satin ground; on the back held by griffins. Ordered for the property Nieuwe Gracht 74, Haarlem. See: BK-15615-a/p; BK-15614; BK-15616-a/b.
